We knew it wouldn't take long... but WOW! Three of the puppies (Adam, Addie, & Alexandra) have new homes already. It's been a very busy few days trying to read applications and contact interested adopters for introductions. And we also needed to run a puppy to the vet for a fecal sample when we noticed some loose poops with the pups (diagnosis: regular old roundworms & some common bacteria-- ordinary puppy problems). But we have had some time to really enjoy and get to know the puppies as well, and they are so precious! Tons of mischief and fun.

Abe, Austin, Avery, & Amy made their Meet & Greet debut today and they were a big hit! Many thanks to the people who came by to say "hi" and hold the puppies. Hopefully the rest of the pups will find their Forever Families before long too.

Wish us luck this rainy weekend-- these babies think playing in some backyard mud is tons of fun!

BIG Day!

The much anticipated arrival of these sweet puppies finally happened today! They left Waco early this morning and arrived here in our Foster Home around noon. The first order of business was meeting the resident dogs and other foster puppies. No problems there-- the famous Aussie waggles greeted everyone they saw, human and canine.

After the intros, it was bath time. Each puppy got a bath and a nail trim. They all did very well!

After the baths, it was meal time. These puppies can EAT! They really love their chow.

The rest of the day was all about learning about their new home... so much to explore!! And they began their crate training and housebreaking regimens today... so much to learn! They had some visitors (including our Rescue Director, Deborah!) and lots and lots of snuggling. These are truly teddy-bear puppies.

We are all very excited to have them here-- though after seeing how absolutely ADORABLE they are, we know it will be a brief stay before they find their Forever Families. Be sure to check out their photo albums for LOTS more photos.

MUCH thanks to STAR for saving them, and especially to Pam, their first Foster Mom, for taking such wonderful care of them!

We first heard about these sweet pups about 5 weeks ago and agreed to foster them when they were about 8 weeks old. They have been cared for in a Waco foster home on behalf of South Texas Aussie Rescue time has finally come, and if all goes well we will finally meet the fluffy pups in person tomorrow morning!
